SINGLE ADULT CONFERENCE
SURVIVAL
OF…
“The Challenge to Become”
The Apostle Paul taught that the Lord’s teachings and teachers
were given that we may all attain “the measure of the stature of the fulness of
Christ” (Eph. 4:13). This process requires far more than acquiring knowledge. It is
not even enough for us to be convincedof the gospel; we must act and
think so that we are converted by it. In contrast to the institutions
of the world, which teach us to knowsomething, the gospel of
Jesus Christ challenges us to become
something.
Dallin H. Oaks, Of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, Ensign – October

Please join us in a weekend full of
activities to test your survival

Survival of the Scriptures
Brother and Sister Harms will teach us how to liken the scripture unto us to more fully
persuade us to believe in the Lord our Redeemer (1 Nephi 19:23).
Brother and Sister Harms are both retired school teachers/administrator. They currently serve a "stay at home"
mission at the Regional Employment Center and they are the stake public affairs directors and Brother Harms is on the Greater Phoenix Region Public Affairs Council, in charge of media (press/TV, etc.) at the Mesa Temple Christmas Lights
and Easter Pageant. They recently returned home from a 2 1/2 year mission in Public Affairs to the Southeast Africa Area, eventually serving as Area
Directors. Brother Harms is also a loved member of Apache junction stake as he served as the stake president.
They have had to use their scripture as a strength and guidance while seeking direction the way the Lord wanted them to take their lives. They are excited to come and teach us how to survive through the scripture.
